In Case.............
I found this tiny case over the weekend...its meant for jewellery so you can work out how small it would be. I built a cobweb in it from nylon thread. I think its a really pretty result and a tiny pearly spider is all that is needed to finish it all off. Ive done a few very large cobwebs in the past now but they have all been out of clear thick fishing line so using a thin thread was tricky but I think its worth it.
It was interesting seeing this on your post. I will be building a spider web soon for an exhibition I am taking part in called 'Suspension' at the Bristol Guild. I have already woven some chrysalis which will be hanging in branches.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful :)
ReplyDeleteIts now a wonderful, magical box with a spider's secret inside.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Look forward to seeing the tiny spider moving in.
ReplyDeleteDear Mr Finch, this is perfect.
ReplyDeleteTotally delightful........!!
ReplyDeleteOh, this is lovely - definitely worth the extra effort of working to a smaller scale for the delicate, cobweb effect. I always enjoy the challenge of working in miniature though
ReplyDeleteI love spider webs ... and have spent ages imagining what kind of bejewelled beastie would inhabit your wonderful box! x
