Toadstool Spirits......

Working on lots of pieces at the same time at the moment..which is usually fine but I have to admit is a bit chaotic. When I have pieces drying I'm working on a a small group of these....'Toadstool spirits'.....which are not small..(see the pencil in the image as size ref)..I think these are going to be some of the biggest pieces that I will have for sale when they are finished.
The one in the image needs more work but I thought you might like to see what I'm up to.
The stem is solid wood and there is also a wooden frame in the head to support everything....so is really heavy I would say as heavy as 2 bags of potatoes!
Ive had to weight these guys due to how top heavy they are but i think Ive got the hang of it.
I love doing them dearly but quite often I have to sew them stood up to get to all the parts which has been a killer on my back....so liked doing the arms the best as I could sit down...
Ill keep you posted on the details of these for those who are interested but right now I'm still working on them and trying to get them finished before the Christmas rush.
